Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts

• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs

• Must be dependable, accountable and cooperative

• Perform CT scans and technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative

• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history

• Administer contrast media following established procedures

• Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results

• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment

• Assist other technologists in all modalities when needed

• Demonstrate proficiency with loading and operating power injection equipment

• Maintain competency with venipuncture procedures

• Adjust technique to provide lowest possible radiation dose while maintaining image quality

• Clean, disinfect and maintain equipment according to infection control policies

• Transport and position patients on procedure tables

• Apply shielding, supportive and immobilization devices

• Take call when necessary

• Required certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS

• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required

• Less than 1 year CT experience preferred

• Must complete accredited Radiologic Technology program

• Excellent communication skills required for interaction with physicians, patients and staff

• Must function independently under pressure while participating in team environment
