Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted

• Patient ratio: 1:4-5 (high staffing ratio unit)

• Patient population:
Adolescents to Geriatrics

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

• Scrub color:
Navy Blue

• No block scheduling

• Care for mixed MS/Tele and intermediate patients including neuro, respiratory, cardiac, and mixed medical patients

• Must be competent in titrating cardiac drips and telemetry monitoring

• Assignments may include all PCU, all MS/Tele, or a mix depending on patient acuity and staffing

• Unit systems:
Epic, Pyxis, SBAR

• Maximum 7 days RTO allowed

• Every other weekend coverage required

• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed

• No call requirements

• Holiday policy:
Work major holidays that fall during assignment period

Skills required:

telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, neuro stepdown care, blood product administration, central line management, IV therapy, and isolation precautions

• Full compliance required to start on time

This healthcare facility features a 36-bed progressive care unit that serves as a stepdown unit providing intermediate care for a diverse patient population. The facility specializes in caring for medical/surgical and stroke patients, offering comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, and transportation services. The organization maintains high standards of care while utilizing modern technology and evidence-based practices.
