Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hour guaranteed work week

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted

• Care for adult to geriatric patient population

• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 in a 16-room telemetry unit

• Work every other weekend unless specified elsewhere

• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed

• No call requirements

• Holiday work required based on assignment period (work 1-2 holidays if they fall during assignment)

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale

• Must have Epic charting system experience

• Navy blue scrubs required

• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed

• Work with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension/hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues

• Must manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, cardizem, lidocaine, bumex, and heparin

• Use of Pyxis medication system and SBAR communication method

• Full compliance required to start on time with 2-week pushback for non-compliance

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive telemetry unit providing specialized cardiac monitoring and care services. The facility features modern equipment including Sara Steady lift systems and other patient mobility equipment. The organization maintains a structured orientation program and utilizes Epic electronic health records, Pyxis medication dispensing, and comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
