Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist RN for an Infection Prevention unit, requiring a GA or compact RN license and expertise in infection control.

Job Details

• Work in the Infection Prevention unit of a hospital setting,

• Focus on infection prevention, surveillance, education, and epidemiologic investigation,

• Day shifts, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,

• Occasional on-call rotation may be required,

Job Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required,

• Demonstrated clinical competency in epidemiology and infection prevention,

• Experience with surveillance for healthcare-associated infections using NHSN and CDC guidelines,

• Experience providing infection control education and consultation to multidisciplinary teams,

• Ability to conduct investigations and root cause analyses for infection clusters or outbreaks,

Additional Information

• Lead compliance with infection prevention policies and regulatory standards,

• Develop and implement surveillance plans and analyze infection data,

• Provide education and competency-based training to staff,

• Advise faculty, staff, and students on infection prevention issues,

• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives,

• Promote a culture of safety and regulatory compliance within the organization,
