Overview:
Responsible for providing a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider (APP), or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards.

• Education:
  
  H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program required.
• In lieu of formal education program, one (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience is required.

• No experience required.

• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization required.
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) required.
