- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years previous experience in a clinical setting and correctional clinical experience.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
- Bi‑lingual a plus.
- Educated and trained to perform both administrative and clinical skills in the medical care environment.
- Provides support to the physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant or other providers as needed.
- Evaluates and prepares patients to be seen by providers.
- Patient triage: taking vital signs, recording patient interview/complaints, and preparing the patient for exams/procedures as needed.
- Processes lab requests including venipuncture.
- Performs routine screening tests, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, and changing dressings as ordered.
- Prepares and administers medications as prescribed; notes times and amounts on patient records.
- Enters clinical data into the electronic medical record and maintains accurate and complete documentation in the patient record.
- Assists with administrative clerical duties, answering phones and scheduling appointments as needed.
- This is not a supervisory position.
- This position does not have any financial responsibilities.
- This position will not be required to drive.
- This role is not considered a position of trust.
- This position does not require a purchasing card (P‑Card).
- This position will not travel.
- This position does not require security clearance.
