The Radiologic Assistant assists the X-Ray and MRI Technologist as they perform procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. The Radiologic Assistant helps in the delivery of patients to the diagnostic and MRI sections.

• Performs Diagnostic X-Ray imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
• Transports patients to the Diagnostic ER X-Ray and MRI sections.
• Uses Positive Patient Identification when retrieving and transporting patients for radiologic studies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

• High School Diploma General or GED General

• BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support

• Minimum 2 Years Diagnostic Radiography/X-Ray Preferred

• Completion of Radiologic courses from an Accredited Radiography Program
• Ability to communicate verbally and written
• Possesses excellent patient/customer service skills
