Assist the manager/director with facility operations to support the Augusta University Georgia Cancer and Augusta University campus investigators and their labs and staff. Responsibilities include maintaining the mass cytometer Cy ToF XT and related experiments; providing equipment training and supervisory support for core users; scheduling equipment access; keeping billing records for all core users.
Responsibilities- Daily/weekly/monthly maintenance, coordination of service, QC, and operations of the Cy ToF device and accompanying support equipment
- Assist with Chemical Safety Database maintenance
- Assist with Biosafety compliance
- Assist with iLab site scheduling, use confirmation, billing of core use, and use‑hour tabulation
- Assist with antibody conjugation and QC, sample staining, and data acquisition
- Attend regional/national meetings/webinars for continuing education on emerging flow/mass cytometry knowledge and technology
- Assist with general lab maintenance, inventory, and supply ordering
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or another natural, life, health care, or materials science directly related to the research area, and experience in a research, basic science, or clinical setting, particularly clinical trials research
- OR Associate's degree with a minimum of three years' experience in a research, basic science, or clinical setting, particularly clinical trials research
- Immunology, flow cytometry, or mass spectrometry experience (preferred but not required)
- Ample related training will be provided
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Detail‑oriented
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
- Shift: Days;
Monday – Friday - Pay Grade: B5
- Salary Minimum: $17.88 per hour; salary commensurate with qualifications within the established range
