Performs duties to assist the pharmacist in the procurement, distribution, documentation, and compounding related to drugs, solutions, and equipment to meet the needs of patients and staff. Responsible for familiarizing with dosages and volumes of medications and solutions for infants, pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients. Functions in accordance with standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Responsible for admixtures of medications to IV solutions, including but not limited to unit dose syringes, chemotherapy medications, and compounding of solutions/medications used in critical care and OR satellite areas.

Maintains adequate stock levels in assigned areas.

Familiarize with dosages and volumes for various patient populations. Prepare admixtures, unit dose syringes, chemotherapy, and critical care/OR solutions. Maintain stock levels.

• Education:
  
  H.S. Diploma or GED (Required)
• Work Experience:
  
  NA Required;
  Hospital pharmacy experience Preferred; IV admixture experience Preferred; IV chemotherapy preparation experience Preferred
• Licenses and
  
  Certifications:
  
  Registration (current) with the state Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern (Required)
• Additional Licenses and
  
  Certifications:
  
  PTCB Certification Preferred
