Overview
OB SONOGRAPHER - PRN WMCG - Augusta, GA at Wellstar Health System.
Position summary:
Performs OB and Gyn ultrasound studies, including procedures (amniocentesis and sonohysterograms) in primarily an outpatient setting. Provides physicians with quality images for diagnostic purposes under the direction of a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician or Radiologist. Provides optimal patient care and contributes to a positive work atmosphere within the department.

Responsibilities- Perform OB and Gyn ultrasound studies, including specified procedures, in an outpatient setting.
- Provide high-quality images for diagnostic purposes under supervision as directed by an MFM physician or Radiologist.
- Support a positive, cooperative work environment within the department.
- Associates Degree from an Accredited Sonography Program. If new graduate, official transcripts must be submitted and verified within 30 days of hire.
- 1 year or more of experience in Ultrasound, including clinical rotations during schooling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to operate ultrasound equipment.
- Certification(s) required:
Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). - Licensure(s) required: ARDMS required upon hire.
