Summary: Floor Staff team members are classified based on individual theatre needs and/or employee availability as variable hour, part-time fixed, part-time regular, or full-time hourly. Their primary responsibility is ensuring guests receive exceptional service. Staff may work in the Box Office, Concession Stand, or as an Usher and must represent Regal consistently with our mission and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for each position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Handling of emergency situations when called upon
  • General cleaning duties
  • Compliance with company dress code
Box Office
  • Operate POS system, including accurate cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets, passes, and coupons
  • Upsell/suggestive selling of Premium Viewing Experience (3D, RPX, IMAX)
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Ensure tickets sold in accordance with MPAA rating system and company policy
  • Respond to phone calls and guest inquiries in line with guest service philosophy
Concession
  • Operate POS system and ensure accurate cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed coupons; manage concession stock inventory
  • Promote the Regal Crown Club program
  • Operate, prepare, and clean all concession equipment
  • Comply with all local, state and federal food safety laws
  • Ensure alcohol certification and training are current where applicable
Usher
  • Tear tickets, collect and deposit appropriate stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums
  • Inspect backpacks and packages when applicable
  • Manage crowd control and assist guests in finding seats as needed
  • Enforce MPAA rating system
  • Conduct in-theatre inspections to monitor picture and sound quality, watch for film theft, and maintain a safe environment
  • Report problems, discrepancies, or unusual situations to management
  • Perform in-auditorium concession auxiliary sales as directed
  • Clean auditoriums after shows and maintain restrooms, lobby, hallways, and other areas outside auditoriums
  • Monitor cleanliness and operation of theatre vending equipment

Assisting with all opening and closing duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Education/

Experience:

Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and as box office cashier or progress towards completion required.

Completion of Regal Entertainment Responsible Beverage Server training on Regal Online University if duties include alcohol sales. Obtain any legally required state or local training and certification.

Language Ability: Good public speaking, effective listening, and clear, direct response.

Math Ability: Perform calculations quickly and accurately, identify and correct errors.

Reasoning Ability: Identify problems, gather data, note causes, evaluate information, recognize alternatives, reach evidence-based conclusions, act beyond what is necessary, and perform under pressure.

Personal

Skills:

Excellent communication with customers, co-workers, and management; establish goals, budget time, and set priorities.

Physical Demands: Frequent standing, walking, sitting, using hands, reaching, talking, hearing; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; lifting up to 60 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment.
