What role you will play in our team
  • We are seeking a highly experienced regulatory professional to lead the preparation and submission of commingling applications to the New Mexico Oil Conservation Division (NMOCD), the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and the New Mexico State Land Office (NMSLO).
  • This role is critical to ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency across our New Mexico assets in the Delaware Basin.
  • Job location is Houston, Texas (Midland, Texas may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates).
What you will do
  • Independently draft and submit commingling applications to the NMOCD, BLM, and NMSLO.
  • Track and report progress from submission to approval, respond to agency inquiries.
  • Coordinate internal teams to gather, review, and update supporting data and documents to ensure all commingle submissions are complete, accurate, and meet regulatory requirements and agency standards.
  • Collaborate with multi‑functional development teams within a project management framework to advise and align commingle plans involving new and existing facilities with multiple new and producing horizontal wellbores.
  • Frame and present commingle choices to management to enable well‑informed business decisions while safeguarding the company's license to operate.
  • Proactively capture and apply learnings for continuous process improvement.
  • Remain current and advise on regulatory changes and agency expectations.
About You

Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience developing, submitting, and securing approval of commingling applications for the NMOCD, BLM, and NMSLO.
  • Deep understanding of New Mexico and Federal oil and gas regulations and agency processes.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state lease terms.
  • Detail‑oriented with a focus on producing error‑free, high‑quality documentation.
  • Comfortable working with complex facility configurations and large‑scale horizontal wellbore groupings.
  • Excellent written communication, technical documentation, and presentation skills.
