Job SummaryJames M Hull College of Business at Augusta University seeks a full‑time, tenure‑track marketing faculty member. The successful candidate must be able to develop discipline‑relevant peer‑reviewed intellectual contributions and is expected to dedicate about 40% of the workload to research and faculty development. Course load will be 2–3 courses per semester (≈50% of workload) and may include online, hybrid, or face‑to‑face instruction, with a preference for candidates who can combine these approaches in an assigned section.

Participation in college committees (≈10% of workload). - Scholarship:
Research and faculty development (≈40% of workload).
- Hold (or receive before start of employment) a PhD in marketing or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated capability or potential to produce discipline‑relevant peer‑reviewed intellectual contributions.
- Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence within the discipline.
- Experience in hospitality.
- Early‑level career as an Assistant Professor.
- Compliance with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) accreditation requirements.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness.
- Evidence of scholarly activity.
- Successful experience (waived for new entrants meeting all other requirements).
- Desirable personal qualities evaluated through interview, biographical data, and recommendations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
- Effective teaching experience in digital marketing and/or social media at the undergraduate level.
- Record of excellence in teaching and learning.
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
- Published or forthcoming peer‑reviewed publications in marketing or related disciplines.
- Prior work experience in digital marketing and/or social media.
- Interest in interacting with local businesses, industry, and stakeholders.
- Online teaching experience.
Academic year:
August through May; full‑time equivalent 1.0.
Salary commensurate with education, experience, and achievements; subject to availability of funds.
