Faculty are drawn from various Augusta University colleges and schools. Class sizes are small and the program areas include Allied Health, Biological and Computational Sciences, Business, Computer & Cyber Science, Education, Nursing, Public Health, and more.

Job Summary

The Slate Functional Technologist supports and optimizes the use of Technolutions Slate CRM to support enrollment and student success for The Graduate School. This role configures and maintains Slate functionality to streamline the student admission and enrollment experience and improve workflow efficiency for program faculty and administrators. The position reports to The Graduate School and collaborates with the Slate Captain and Slate team within Enrollment and Student Affairs to ensure seamless Slate configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Applications Software Development and Support
    :
    Strategize, configure, develop, implement, and support Slate for programs within The Graduate School. Recommend and implement tailored solutions, configure workflows, forms, reports, and portals, document business requirements, create development plans, lead configuration for annual Slate cycle prep, and continuously expand Slate knowledge to optimize system use.
  • User Support, Training, and Documentation
    :
    Serve as the primary Slate support and champion for all users within The Graduate School. Manage accounts, roles, security, training, and on-demand resources. Communicate updates in non-technical terms and maintain documentation on data entry procedures. Gather functional needs from faculty/administrators and advocate for system enhancements; document configurations and workflows.
  • Data Integrity and Reporting
    :
    Create user reports, maintain data policies, develop custom reports and dashboards in Slate, coordinate with IT for data integrations (including SIS), implement system rules to reduce manual processes, and test updates from Technolutions.
  • Communication and Enrollment Campaigns
    :
    Develop and manage enrollment communication workflows (email, text, print), design and track campaigns with Graduate Admissions Operations, faculty, and The Graduate School, and coordinate with Marketing for brand consistency. Track metrics to support SEM and retention.
  • Other Duties
    :
    Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Required Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field (e.g., Information Technology, Education, or Business Administration) and a minimum of five years of experience in higher education settings, particularly in admissions, enrollment management, or related areas.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve user engagement with Slate. Strong analytical skills in data analytics and reporting to inform decision-making and drive process improvements in enrollment management and student success initiatives. Three or more years of direct experience as a functional technologist or in a related role within higher education, specifically focusing on the Slate platform.
