College/Department InformationThe Office of Military and Veteran Services (MVS) creates an educational experience for our military-connected students and their families by providing student-centered customer service, open communication, and educational benefit processing.
Job SummaryThe Office of Military and Veteran Services at Augusta University is seeking a dynamic, student-centered, and professional individual to provide excellent customer service directly to prospective and new students from the Fort Eisenhower population and their families seeking to attend Augusta University. As a primary customer service contact for the Fort Gordon site of Military and Veteran Services, this position works closely with daily operations of student support and advocacy in promoting the enrollment goals of the University.
The Fort Eisenhower Site Representative will use knowledge of military enrollment services provided for active-duty personnel, veterans and their dependents in serving these students in a dynamic way and supporting the goals of Enrollment Management Division and the Office of Military and Veteran Services. - CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Assist service members and their dependents with all enrollment service functions such as recruitment, admissions, financial aid and information regarding degree offerings. - EDUCATION/DATA REPORTING:
Certification of educational benefits for veterans and maintain educational enrollment information in the various branches of service portals for active duty military. - ADVISORY SERVICES:
Provide educational advisory services to students at Fort Gordon. - REGULATION/GUIDELINES:
Adhering to state and federal regulations and guidelines, which ensure compliance. Be knowledgeable and compliant with state and federal regulations admissions, certification of benefits, and federal student aid eligibility. Be knowledgeable and compliant with HR rules and regulations for management of personnel. - PROVIDE SUPPORT:
Will be the backup at Fort Eisenhower for the MVS Site Coordinator and may be required to fulfill other functions at the request of the MVS Site Coordinator or the Director of Military and Veteran Services. - Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of similar experience OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of related experience.
- Military service and/or experience dealing with military personnel.
- Proven relationship building with military command.
- Military Service and/or experience supporting various military populations.
- Experience in BANNER, SLATE, and/or CRYSTAL reports, is preferred.
- Knowledge
:
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases. Knowledge of military enrollment services provided for active-duty personnel, veterans and their dependents. - Skills
:
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills. - Abilities
