Job Summary: The Department of Neurology in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University seeks an open‑rank, non‑tenure track full‑time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor to develop a robust clinical practice in Pediatric Neurology and serve as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities
  • Teach medical student courses and clerkships, mentor graduate students and trainees, and train pediatric neurology residents, fellows, and medical students.
  • Attend duties in the pediatric neurology clinic and inpatient services.
  • Develop and lead an independent, extramurally funded research program.
  • Participate in professional, public, and university service appropriate to the rank and in administrative and committee work.
  • Maintain collegial relationships with other faculty members.
Required Qualifications

MD or DO with completion of an ACGME accredited residency or fellowship in Pediatric Neurology.

Assistant Professor:
Early‑career faculty member with appropriate postgraduate training.

Associate Professor:
Mid‑level faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

Professor:
Senior‑level faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent.

Additional faculty employment qualifications (SACSCOC, teaching, scholarship, service, waiver for early‑career candidates, desirable personal qualities).

Shift / Salary / Benefits

This position is fiscal year based and works year‑round. The full‑time commitment is 1.0 FTE. Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and is subject to available funds. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 13 paid holidays, vacation leave, sick leave, generous retirement plans, tuition waiver, wellness options, and tuition assistance for employees with more than six months tenure.

Rank and salary are determined at hire and based on experience, education, credentials, specialty, training, internal equity and market data.
