Job SummaryThe Associate Director of Recruitment serves as a key leader in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions by assisting the Director in developing and implementing a strategic and collaborative recruitment plan. The Associate Director leads recruitment team members to meet enrollment goals through the recruitment and enrollment of all new undergraduate students, including first-year, dual-enrolled, transfer, international, nondegree, and former students. The position provides collaborative leadership, exceptional communication, technological expertise, and a commitment to students and education.
It is responsible for creating electronic communications and print materials and supports recruitment event planning and execution.
- Lead the undergraduate admissions recruitment staff: supervise four Assistant Directors (Freshman Recruitment, Regional Recruitment, Dual Enrollment, Admissions Communications). Provide strategic direction, hire/train/supervise staff, approve recruitment travel plans and budgets, and ensure goals are met. Champion exceptional student and family service in the recruitment process.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to meet new student enrollment goals: set data-informed recruitment plans, manage territory recruitment with program-specific yield plans, assess effectiveness, and adjust to align with institutional priorities for diverse student populations and academic quality. Collaborate with Marketing and Communications for brand integrity and messaging. Co-design and implement personalized communication plans to promote Augusta University’s culture, programs, and student life to prospective students and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement recruitment initiatives: stay current with best practices, engage in professional organizations, build relationships with external constituents, collaborate with Slate system users, and meet with campus partners to support targeted recruitment efforts.
- Manage special program and population recruitment: oversee Jaguar Jumpstart, Professional Scholars programs, Honors Program, transfer recruitment, dual enrollment, and recruitment of student-athletes, former students, transient students, post-baccalaureate students, and other special student types.
- Perform data analysis and enrollment projections: maintain enrollment projections and funnel goals by student type; analyze historical patterns to guide decisions; use USG and institutional data to monitor trends.
- Participation on committees and budget planning: engage with Enrollment Management and related teams; assist with departmental budgets; act as second-in-command to the Director.

- Required
:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and four years of experience in admissions, higher education, or a related field, including two years of supervisory experience. - Preferred
:
Master’s degree; experience with Technolutions Slate CRM; experience designing recruitment communications; experience in college recruitment or territory management.
- Knowledge
:
Understanding of emergent and best practices in recruitment and admission; proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software/databases. - Skills
