Job SummaryThis position is a full-time clinician educator in Nephrology, involved in patient care, research and education. Responsibilities include renal consult service, medicine nephrology clinics, dialysis unit staffing, teaching clinic attendance and call coverage. The role is not tenure track.
Responsibilities- Clinical – 85% Inpatient consult service, inpatient dialysis, outpatient dialysis, night and weekend call, faculty supervising fellows/APPS.
- Teaching – 15% Didactic presentations, scholarly presentations, teaching residents/students/fellows, scholarly activities including research studies, quality improvement projects or case studies.
MD/DO or equivalent with completion of Nephrology fellowship and board certification or eligibility.
Rank requirements:
- Assistant Professor – Early level career with appropriate post‑graduate training.
- Associate Professor – Mid level career with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor.
- Professor – Senior level career with at least five years at rank of Associate Professor.
Faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions include evidence of teaching, scholarship and other duties, successful experience, desirable personal qualities judged by interview, complete biographical data and recommendations.
Shift / Salary / BenefitsThis position is fiscal year based and works year‑round. The intended work commitment is 1.0 FTE and considered full‑time. Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience and achievements, subject to availability of funds.
