Job SummaryThe Degree Works Analyst supports the accuracy, usability, and effectiveness of the Degree Works degree audit system through data analysis, training, documentation, and curriculum impact review. This position ensures that academic departments and advisors have the information they need to maintain accurate curriculum, properly submit and provide documentation for curriculum proposals, understand audit behavior, and use Degree Works effectively to support student progression and completion.
The analyst acts as a liaison between academic units, curriculum committees, and the team responsible for scribing and system updates. Completes other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards and performs all compliance-related tasks as required.
- Review proposed curriculum revisions in Curriculog and new program submissions to identify the potential impact on Degree Works. Communicate curriculum changes and interpretations, if needed, to the Degree Works Curriculum Specialist for implementation. Work with academic departments to ensure curriculum requirements are clear, complete, and compatible with Degree Works logic from launch step to ensure all steps receive accurate input.
- Provide departments with data-driven insights to support curriculum improvements and academic program decisions.
- Analyze course substitution trends, course usage patterns, and program-of-study mappings to identify issues and opportunities. Communicate opportunities and engage with stakeholders to implement permanent updates, reducing future workload and improving efficiency. Monitor audit accuracy by reviewing student record discrepancy analytics and informing the records team when updates are needed. Use Degree Works and SIS data to support student success, program review, and compliance efforts for the course program of study.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Degree Works training materials, user guides, documentation, reports, and reference resources. Provide regular training sessions for advisors, faculty, and departmental staff on how to interpret and use Degree Works effectively. Assess gaps in training or documentation and proactively create resources to address them.
- Collaborate with advising, registrar's office staff, and academic departments to ensure consistent understanding of Degree Works functionality. Ensure accurate communication of curriculum requirements and identified issues to the academic departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience at a regionally accredited higher education institution or relevant work environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience performing registrar functions preferred.
- Experience with using Degree Works or similar application preferred.
- Understanding of Degree Audits and handling related changes.
- Knowledge of Banner, Acalog, and Curriculum.
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to prioritize and perform duties and responsibilities timely with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of MS Office and other computer software/databases. Knowledge of university academic policy and procedures as it relates to Augusta University, in addition to University System of Georgia rules and regulations.

Salary: $56,600/annually-$72,200/annually
