The Radiology and Imaging department at Augusta University is looking for an innovative, collaborative instructor who can regularly examine their pedagogy and practices to foster belonging, accessibility, and full student learning. The role will provide clinical faculty experience in Breast Imaging while teaching in the Radiology and Imaging Department of Augusta University Medical Center. This fellowship is for one academic year only.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver classroom instruction and assessment in Radiation Diagnostic programs.
- Develop curriculum, advising students and participating in professional inquiry.
- Engage in committee work and the use of instructional technology.
- Schedule and manage program chair hours for the Radiation Therapy program.
- Teach in various delivery modes (in-person, hybrid, online).
- MD Degree
- Completed Diagnostic Radiology Residency
- A board certified or eligible
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and scholarly activity as required by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
- Successful experience (waived for new academic professionals meeting other requirements)
- Desirable personal qualities demonstrated through interview, biographical data, and recommendations
Salary is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements and is subject to availability of funds. Full‑time employees after 6 months may be considered for the Tuition Assistance Program.
