Job Summary

The Sr. Academic Planning and Assessment Coordinator collaborates with faculty, staff, and academic affairs leadership to assess and evaluate Augusta University’s academic programs. The role strengthens institutional effectiveness through meaningful assessment practices, data‑driven decision making, and oversight of the academic program review process in alignment with Board of Regents policies.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate program evaluation activities, including data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
  • Coordinate logistics for surveys, focus groups, and reporting cycles.
  • Maintain evaluation records and documentation for accreditation and academic planning.
  • Assist the Institutional Accreditation Liaison and accredited programs with accreditation reporting.
  • Support colleges in assessing student learning outcomes, leading meetings and training as needed.
  • Collaborate within the Division of Institutional Effectiveness and across the university to support process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support institutional effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in higher education, social behavior sciences, data analytics, business, or a related field; OR Bachelor's degree with at least eight years of higher‑education experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience coordinating higher education processes.
  • Knowledge of Board of Regents academic policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of academic program curricula and higher‑education budgeting.
  • Experience with strategic planning, assessment, and project management tools.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge: Microsoft Office, higher‑education planning and assessment, student learning outcome assessment, qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, analytical, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Abilities: Autonomy, time management, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal relationships.
Shift, Salary, & Benefits
  • Shift: Days, Monday–Friday (outside standard hours may be required).
  • Recruitment Period:

Conditions of Employment
