Construction Superintendent

Position Summary

The Construction Superintendent is responsible for leading field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role provides on-site leadership, coordinates trade partners, and ensures compliance with contract documents, safety regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Field Leadership

• Oversee daily construction activities and site operations.
• Develop and manage the project schedule in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain strong trade partner relationships.
• Ensure work is installed per plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues to maintain schedule and quality.

Safety Management

• Champion a safety-first culture on the jobsite.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and weekly toolbox talks.
• Document and address safety incidents or near misses.

Quality Control

• Implement and enforce the company's quality management program.
• Perform regular inspections to verify workmanship standards.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and testing as required.
• Manage punch list development and project closeout processes.

Schedule & Cost Control

• Develop short-interval (look-ahead) schedules.
• Monitor production rates and adjust manpower as needed.
• Collaborate with Project Manager on budget tracking and cost impacts.
• Identify and communicate potential delays or cost risks early.

Client & Stakeholder Relations

• Serve as the on-site point of contact for owners, architects, and inspectors.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and design teams.
• Represent the company in project meetings and site visits.
