Archaea Energy, a bp company, is a leader in landfill gas to energy and the largest renewable natural gas (RNG) producer in the US. With big ambitions, we specialise in the development, construction and operation of RNG, landfill‑gas‑to‑electric and dairy digester facilities. The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline.
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Compliance Manager to support governance, audit readiness, and procedural adherence across our Procurement & Supply Chain organisation. In this critical role, you will ensure our processes meet internal standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices through strong controls, reporting, and collaboration. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys solving problems, and is passionate about enabling compliant, high‑performing operations.
Keyaccountabilities
- Lead and manage compliance activities across Procurement & Supply Chain to ensure alignment with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
- Conduct internal audits, process reviews, and system checks to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare internal audit reports and make corrective and preventive action recommendations.
- Maintain, develop and implement policies, procedures, and documentation to support consistent, compliant operations for the sake of continual improvement.
- Monitor compliance issues, track corrective actions, and partner with key stakeholders to drive resolutions.
- Support ERP‑related compliance, including permissions, data accuracy, and process adherence.
- Develop and deliver compliance reporting, dashboards, and insights for Leadership, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Provide training and communication to ensure team members understand and follow compliance expectations.
- Maintain documentation and reporting for external audit readiness.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, responding to documentation requests and managing remediation actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, or category management.
- Experience in compliance, audit, risk management, or supply‑chain governance.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret policies, apply controls, and work effectively across functions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- High ethical standards and strong integrity.
- Process‑oriented and organised.
- Strong problem‑solving and risk assessment abilities.
- Skilled at influencing and partnering across teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a structured, deadline‑driven environment.
- Experience with Acumatica or similar ERP platforms.
- Knowledge of procurement or supply‑chain processes and audit requirements.
- Experience using reporting or BI tools such as Power BI or DOMO.
- Background in operational excellence or continuous improvement programmes.
