Summary
Position located within the Fort Gordon Business Operations Division.
Duties- Prepares contracts for private functions, using established costs; orders flowers, decorations, etc.
- Prepares all related invitation orders, party work sheets and contracts.
- Assists patrons with time schedules for weddings and other formal functions.
- Analyzes requirements of the occasion and recommends suitable services, menus and beverage items; coordinates with club manager, food service staff and patrons.
- Draws up contracts making commitment for requested functions.
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, paragraph 2, including a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Position, duty hours, location and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Males born after 12-31-1959 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service (see (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).).
- One year of specialized work experience or an education leading to a bachelor’s degree directly related to the duties.
- Exceptional communication and people skills in customer service and problem resolution.
- Preferred: post high school education related to the duties, experience in sales and customer service, and experience with catering management software.
This position does not have an education qualification requirement.
Location/Area of Consideration- Area of consideration is worldwide, including military spouse and involuntarily separated military preference eligible candidates.
This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander at 25% of the basic rate for up to 8 hours per Sunday. Night differential may be authorized at 10% of the basic rate for hours 18:00-06:00.
