Duties (summary)The General Ledger Accountant I supports the accounting operations of a multi-entity medical practice using Sage Intacct. Responsibilities include preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledger accounts, completing reconciliations, and assisting with monthly close activities. The role also supports accounts payable and EMR/Billing system integrations, ensuring accurate financial data and compliance with internal controls.
Our Ideal CandidateOur ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with 3–5 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting. A background in accounts payable or healthcare accounting is highly desirable. This individual should demonstrate a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and possess strong technological proficiency, including comfort with modern accounting systems and data tools. The candidate will bring keen analytical ability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
An interest in medical practice operations or healthcare accounting will further support success in this role, as the position involves close collaboration with clinical and administrative teams to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.
