Position: Fleet Technician 2 (Experienced)

Overview

PBNA $43.00 / hour. Great pay & benefits package with world class equipment, technology & training. Target pay of $43.00 / hour and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities
  • Work with a high degree of independence performing preventive maintenance (PMs) and repairs
  • Utilize leading-edge technology and programs including PM using voice application, diagnostics, predictive analytics, and other tools
  • Maintain and repair Pepsi's diverse fleet including automobiles, light and heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts
  • Perform advanced diagnostics across OE platforms (e.g., Volvo, International, Freightliner, Maxon, electric vehicles, and material handling equipment)
  • Perform high-level repairs such as engine and driveline, aftertreatment and emissions, and safety systems
  • Adapt and build repair capability for alternative fuel applications (electric, CNG, B100)
  • Diagnose failures, disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as needed
  • Maintain documentation and records (vehicle records, pre-trip checklists)
  • Answer service calls and support safety standards and procedures
  • Contribute to maintaining one of the largest fleets in North America
Qualifications
  • Own basic hand tools (diagnostic, ergonomic, and high-tech equipment provided)
  • Physical requirements include lifting, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling objects (with or without accommodation)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass Forklift Driving Skills test (if applicable)
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without accommodation)
  • Brakes Certification
  • Experience or training with hydraulic and air brake systems
  • Experience performing aftertreatment and emissions repairs (e.g., class 6 - 8 diesel)
  • Experience performing driveline repairs (e.g., class 6 - 8 diesel)
  • Experience using diagnostic platforms (e.g., Noregon, Snap-on, Nexiq, Altel, etc.)
Helpful experience
  • Experience removing and replacing mounted wheels to torque specs
  • Experience diagnosing troubleshooting codes
  • Experience with parts management and inventory controls
  • Experience working under limited supervision
  • Experience using shop tools (engine hoists, welding, changing tires, small tools)
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and tracking maintenance activities
  • Experience working with computers (iPad, desktops, laptops, diagnostics)
  • Experience repairing forklifts and related systems
  • Experience with OEM manuals and current standards, including electronic modules
  • Experience repairing heavy-duty equipment and various truck classes
  • Experience with gas and/or diesel automotive repair
  • Experience performing engine repairs and safety systems repairs
  • Ase Electrical Certification, Ase Heavy Duty Certification, Ase Suspension Certification, Ase, Macs or Military AC certification
  • Experience driving trucks requiring Class A or B CDL
  • Experience with shift work (on-call, 24/7 availability, multi-shift weeks)
  • Welding certifications and experience
