Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Quality Manager (Level L) to support the Fabrication Quality Team in Auburn and Puyallup, WA
.
The Senior Quality Manager is a professional who collaborates across organizational boundaries, relies on data and analysis to drive decisions, and leads quality initiatives within Fabrication Quality. This role focuses on improving the Quality Management System and Quality Improvement initiatives.
Transformational leadership is required to build team engagement and guide quality team members in implementing key initiatives. The candidate will drive new approaches including advanced process and production oversight methods and new inspection and data technologies, while partnering with functional counterparts.
Position Responsibilities- Leads the Manufacturing Business Unit (MBU) Quality organization
- Oversees functions and activities that affect product quality with a Total Quality perspective
- Leads change and improvement across the production system and quality system
- Leads, engages, motivates and guides the MBU quality team
- Ensures reliability and consistency of business unit processes
- Understands customers’ requirements and ensures they are satisfied
- Facilitates proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
- Teaches and uses structured problem-solving methods to resolve issues and drive improvement
- Understands and teaches current standards, policies and requirements
- Communicates with internal and external regulatory and compliance officials and supports onsite audits
- Champions initiatives including six sigma, analytics-based decision-making, forward-looking measures, APQP, standardized work and structured problem solving
Work Location
This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Puyallup or Auburn, WA
.
- 5+ years' experience developing and maintaining relationships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners
- 5+ years' experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion
- 5+ years' experience with Quality, Engineering or Operations leading managers/teams in Operations and/or Quality
- 5+ years' experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)
- Must be flexible to work any shift based on operation needs
- 3+ years’ experience with Quality Management Systems and/or the One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
- 3+ years in Boeing Fabrication businesses or related experience
- 3+ years of experience with team building, developing and motivating employees
- 1+ years of experience using structured problem-solving methods (BPSM, DMAIC, 6-Sigma)
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field

- Total Rewards: Boeing offers a Total Rewards package including base pay and variable compensation
- Boeing provides eligible employees with health, retirement, and other benefits; program specifics vary by location and eligibility
- Summary pay range: $154,700 – $209,300
