** Position Summary
** Multi Care Health System is seeking an experienced Nurse Midwife to join our well-established, thriving and comprehensive Ob/Gyn practice. ** Responsibilities
* ** Provide
** prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
** to women and their newborns.
* Conduct
** routine gynecological exams**, including Pap smears and breast exams.
* Offer
** family planning services
** and contraceptive counseling.
* Assist with
** labor and delivery**, including natural and medically assisted births.
* Monitor the
** health of mother and baby
** during and after childbirth.
* Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
* Collaborate with OB-GYNs, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals.
* Educate patients on
** reproductive health, childbirth preparation, and newborn care**.
* Maintain accurate and detailed
** medical records**.
* Advocate for
** holistic, patient-centered care
** and support maternal mental health
** Requirements**
* ** Registered Nurse (RN) license
** and
** Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
** license in Washington State.
* Successful completion of an American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)-accredited nurse-midwifery program
* Current active certification by the
** American Midwifery Certification Board** (or its predecessor, the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) Certification Council), or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first examination for which he or she is eligible
* Clinical experience in
** obstetrics, gynecology, or women’s health**.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.
* DEA, NPI & Prescriptive authority
* Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
