Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring WA or compact RN license, strong L&D skills, and expertise in both labor and post-partum care.

• Work in the Birth Center within a hospital environment
• 20-bed unit: 12 Labor & Delivery, 8 postpartum/antepartum, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 ORs, 6-bed Level II NICU
• 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend rotation
• No call requirements
• Requires circulating C-sections and baby catching/receiving responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR system with experience preferred
• Patients primarily include Russian and Spanish-speaking populations; multilingual skills preferred
• Teal scrubs provided
• Position includes comprehensive care from labor through post-partum for moms and babies
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including providers and NICU support
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• NP is available on call for support
• Knowledge of Russian or Spanish languages is preferred but not required

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery nursing experience, including at least 1 year in LDRP
• Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, fetal monitoring
• Proficiency in cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration
• Post-partum nursing experience through patient discharge required
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections
• Baby catching and APGAR assessment experience required
• Basic breastfeeding knowledge required
• Scrubbing experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
