Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a maintenance team to work injury‑free and incident‑free in a manufacturing environment. They provide leadership and direction that motivates the team to meet goals related to repairing plant equipment, minimizing downtime, and meeting safety goals. They are driven to continually improve performance and embrace changes that will help the team and company meet these goals while working in conjunction with the production and management teams.
Job LocationThis position will be based onsite at our facility in Auburn, WA.
Job Responsibilities- Maintain safe working conditions and ensure a safety mindset, especially when working on equipment and using tools and machinery.
- Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards.
- Hire, schedule, and supervise full‑time staff and additional temporary staff as required.
- Provide coaching and corrective feedback timely and administer disciplinary processes up to and including termination as necessary.
- Perform timely quarterly and annual reviews for all team members.
- Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem‑solving, and resolution.
- Oversee all process documentation and training program procedures for consistency of operational tasks, and the safety and cleanliness of the workplace.
- Construct fixtures as required.
- Create a schedule and perform preventative maintenance and regular inspections on equipment.
- Repairs facility equipment, fixtures, building, and grounds.
- Direct maintenance team members in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of equipment.
- Order tools, equipment, supplies and services necessary for repairs and maintenance.
- Remove and/or install fixtures and equipment for safe, efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to determine causes of failures and recommend solutions for repair.
- Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and efficiency of maintenance equipment, tools, and fixtures.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to coach, develop, and build a strong team of employees.
- Strong listening and clear communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a results‑oriented environment.
- Forklift and crane certification or ability to obtain required.
- Welding skills preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to review and understand machine blueprints.
- Ability to use hand tools and basic machine shop equipment.
- 1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
- Must have experience in the maintenance field, at least 2+ years preferred.
- Must have previous supervisory or leadership experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as calculating percentages, volumes and using fractions.
- Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed.
- Target base salary range is $90,000.00 to $.
- Yearly bonus target of 5%.
