Industrial Maintenance Technician Day Shift

Job Description

• Base Pay Range: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
• Rotational Day Shift: 3:00 am - 3:30 pm, Rotating Days

Maintenance Technician II is an Electro-Mechanical position that includes supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment as needed, tracking usage of and ordering replacement parts.

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
• Perform simple to complex mechanical Preventative Maintenance Tasks following instructions
• Intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
• Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
• Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
• Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
• Enter all work completed in computer-based maintenance program
• Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
• Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
• Train new and Level 1 mechanics in more complex tasks and skills

• Associates degree in related field is desired
• Minimum 3 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out of state locations
• Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (e.g., welding, basic machining)
• Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
• Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast paced environment
• Flexible and willing to work overtime as required

• Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, drive a motor vehicle and/or light construction equipment, fork trucks, platform lifts, etc.
• Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; talk and hear
• The employee is frequently required to stand and sit for long periods, as well as occasionally be required to climb or balance
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
• Exposure to variable temperatures as impacted by the weather

Mainly a manufacturing facility, where exposure to moving mechanical parts, forklifts, heavy pallets, moderate to loud noise level, and air-borne dust, powders, and fumes. While working, the employee will be required to wear various personal protective equipment (e.g., clothing, gloves, goggles, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant aprons, etc.) based on work area or task.
