Tessera Aerospace Manufacturing is currently seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in Auburn, WA. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that only intended goods are received-in and shipped-out along with all accompanying paperwork.
Typical Duties- Maintain records of all outgoing and incoming shipments to ensure that actual physical inventory matches the database’s logical inventory.
- Prepare shipping documents, labels, packing slips, bills of lading, reports, etc.
- Ensure work orders and associated paperwork are completed accurately.
- Package/bundle parts per customer quality specifications.
- Schedule customer shipments using various customer websites.
- Responsible for weekly cycle counts and overall inventory.
- Receive parts, material and standards, enter inventory, and ensure certifications match purchase order requirements.
- Manage chemical expiration dates and quantities, and order when needed.
- Operate Part Mark equipment when needed.
- Support the quality receiving inspection process; record and check quantity and quality of goods received.
- Ensure work area equipment is kept in a clean, functional and orderly condition.
- Identify opportunities and implement measures for process improvement.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
- Ensure work rules and standard safety regulations are consistently followed.
- Improve safety, waste, quality, and productivity metrics of the department.
- Understand and follow all ISO:9001/AS9100 policies, procedures, and instructions that are applicable.
- Operate forklift for movement of materials and parts, as well as loading and unloading trucks.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in aerospace or commercial manufacturing preferred.
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience using MS Office Suite.
- Must be trained and/or qualified to operate 10‑ton or smaller gas, diesel, electric, or propane‑powered forklift.
- Ability to operate strapping machines used to fasten materials to pallets.
- Working knowledge of aerospace part production manufacturing preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015/AS9100D preferred.
Employees must be able to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Reach, kneel, walk, stand, or use repetitive motion for several hours at a time.
- Possibility of repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking; standing or sitting for several hours; climbing in and out of vehicles; up and down stairs.
- Perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances. A background check and E‑Verify will be conducted for this position.
