Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an inpatient acute care role requiring WA licensure, BLS certification, and Epic proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an acute care therapy unit with potential to float to another nearby facility as needed

• Patient population includes orthopedic, neurological, medical-surgical, amputee, total joint program participants, psychiatric, cardiac, and ICU-level care

• Work schedule is 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week

• No on-call requirements

• Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required

• Support staff includes on-site PTA and COTA

• Main duties include comprehensive acute care evaluation, treatment planning, and patient management across a varied caseload

• Emphasis on collaboration with the clinical team and effective discharge planning

• Scrubs in any color or business casual attire are acceptable; open-toed shoes are not permitted

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required

• Current WA physical therapy license required if applicable

• CPR or BLS certification required, with BLS preferred

• Proficiency in acute care evaluation and treatment for diverse diagnoses and populations

• Strong discharge planning and collaboration skills necessary

• Epic EMR experience required

• Clear and professional communication skills
