Promotions Intern

Promotions Manager

General Description:

Under the direction of the Marketing Department, assist with racing season events and promotions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

* Assist with planning, coordination and execution of all events and promotions:

* Work with the Promotions Manager for race season events such as T-Rex Races, Dog Race Days and Family Fun Weekends

* Social Media, Email Blasts, gather / organize database management

* Event Promotion:

* Coordinate posts for on-site signage promoting upcoming events

* Coordinate online and phone contacts for generating and enrolling participants for promotional events

* Assist with all on site promotions, events, and drawings

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Horse racing knowledge preferred. Must possess good intrapersonal skills and relationship building to manage customer, vendor and partner relationships. Must have good communication skills and be proficient at Excel and Word

Work Environment & Communication

Customer-centered atmosphere. Ranges from relaxed to fast-paced work. Position requires working weekends during the racing season. Communicate with all customers, staff, and supervisors with courtesy and respect.
