At the heart of Boeing’s drive to advance our production system is a growing, high-impact Production Engineering organization. We are seeking a front-line leader in the Fabrication Division to join our Equipment Engineering team supporting our Auburn & Frederickson Washington sites — someone who is passionate about shaping the future of Boeing manufacturing.

This is an opportunity to lead high-visibility teams driving production asset reliability, capital equipment strategy, and the modernization of our production system. You’ll grow and inspire Equipment & Tool Engineers solving complex, high-precision automation challenges and deliver measurable impact across the shop floor.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed locations options.

• Hire, develop, and mentor teams of equipment engineers and technicians responsible for the development, design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of production assets; ensuring functionality, reliability and compliance with safety standards.

• Oversee technical management of suppliers in the design, sourcing, and implementation of new technology into the production system.

• Lead special projects supporting key company priorities. Projects may include but are not limited to: stabilizing and improving the efficiency of the production system, enabling rate increases on our production lines, incorporating product and process changes into the production system, and various initiatives directed at culture change

• Develop and maintain partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports.

• Leverage network to drive coordinated project execution with business unit leaders.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

• 5+ years of experience in an engineering role

• 3+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams of various levels and disciplines

• Project management skills with the ability to manage complex technical projects & schedules

• 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment

• Capital procurement experience, evaluating proposals and validating contractual performance

• Experience in industrial equipment maintenance and reliability engineering

• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment

• Coaching experience helping team members improve technical and professional skills

• Ability to provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
