Job Overview
A healthcare facility in Auburn is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The OR RN will provide perioperative nursing care, assist surgical teams during procedures, and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures
- Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to OR safety protocols
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after surgery
- Prepare operating rooms with appropriate surgical equipment and supplies
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Requirements
- Active New York State RN License
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Orthopedic surgery experience required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- NIHSS Certification required at time of submission
- 6 Stroke-related CEU hours required prior to start date
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
