Registered Nurse - Stepdown

Up to $60/Hour | 4 Openings | Auburn, NY

A healthcare facility in Auburn is seeking experienced Stepdown Registered Nurses (RNs) for multiple openings. This is an excellent opportunity for strong cardiac-focused nurses comfortable in a high-acuity environment.

• 2 Positions: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• 2 Positions: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

• Floating: Some Med Surg float may be required

• Pay Rate: Up to $60.00 per hour

The Stepdown RN will care for higher-acuity patients, including post-cardiac catheterization patients, and must be confident in telemetry monitoring and IV therapy. Flexibility to float when needed is required.

• Active New York State (NYS) RN License

• Minimum 2 years of Stepdown experience required

• Post-Cath experience required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start

• 6 CEUs in Stroke-related topics required prior to start

• Must be able to interpret own telemetry strips

• Strong IV skills required (facility does not have an IV team)

• Travel experience preferred

• Must be willing to float as needed

• Ideal candidates are clinically strong, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced acute care setting.
