Description:

A facility in Auburn, NY is seeking a Med Surg/Telemetry RN for a float position. The nurse will provide patient care across med-surg and telemetry units as needed. Every other weekend coverage is required.
Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience

• New York State RN license

• BLS & ACLS certifications required

• Must be able to interpret own telemetry strips

• IV experience required (facility does not have IV team)

• Travel experience preferred

• NIHSS certification and 6 CEUs on stroke-related topics required prior to start

• Willingness to float when needed

• COVID vaccine not required (proof or declination needed)

• Flu vaccine or declination required (mask required if declining; flu deadline
Unit Details:

• Community hospital with 90 beds

• Charting system:
Paragon

• RN:

PT ratio: 1:6–7

• Proctored EKG exam on Day 1 of contract

• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts at no cost
