Buyer Planner – Finished Goods Supply Planning

KARL STORZ is seeking a detail-driven, proactive Buyer Planner to manage Finished Goods inventory and supply planning for a defined product portfolio. In this mid-level role, you’ll ensure we have the Right Product, in the Right Place, at the Right Time, at the Right Cost, from the Right Supplier—supporting exceptional customer service and strong operational performance.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and maintain demand and supply plans in partnership with Demand Planning, Marketing, and Product Management.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate pricing, terms, and delivery commitments.
  • Monitor supplier performance, expedite or delay orders as needed, and resolve delivery or receiving issues.
  • Collaborate with Transportation, Warehouse, Quality, Customer Service, and Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies and keep product flowing.
  • Support lifecycle management, product availability communication, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold FDA 21

    CFR
    820 requirements and contribute to our Quality Management System.
What You Bring Required
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong systems and computer skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and focus
  • Solid math and problem‑solving skills
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented mindset
  • Available for up to 10% travel
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Excel skills;
    Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience with MRP systems; SAP familiarity a plus
