WAREHOUSE & VENDOR MANAGED INVENTORY (VMI) SPECIALIST

LOCATION: Lewiston/Auburn, ME | Travel within approximately 75-mile radius as needed

SCHEDULE: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

JOIN A LEADING INDUSTRIAL DISTRIBUTION TEAM

We are hiring a Warehouse & Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist to support warehouse operations and on-site customer inventory programs in the Lewiston/Auburn, ME area. This role is ideal for someone with warehouse, inventory control, forklift, shipping & receiving, industrial distribution, or MRO supply experience who enjoys both hands-on operational work and customer-facing responsibilities. You’ll support manufacturers and industrial customers by ensuring accurate order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and timely VMI replenishment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Warehouse Operations (Shipping & Receiving / Inventory Control)
  • Pick, pack, and process customer orders accurately
  • Label, shrink-wrap, and stage product for outbound shipments
  • Load and unload trucks safely
  • Receive inbound freight and restock inventory
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Conduct quality inspections to prevent damaged shipments
  • Operate forklift and order picker equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, OSHA-compliant warehouse
Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) / Field Inventory Support
  • Replenish and manage inventory at customer manufacturing sites
  • Execute VMI restocking programs
  • Safely operate company vehicle for deliveries and vendor pickups
  • Build professional relationships with plant and maintenance personnel
  • Complete delivery logs and service documentation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Warehouse, distribution center, or industrial supply experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial environments or relatable field
  • Familiarity with RF scanners and inventory management systems
  • Forklift certification or prior material handling experience
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, and reaching
  • Local travel within approximately 100-mile radius
  • Work in warehouse and manufacturing environments
