A dedicated registered nurse is needed to provide specialized care to a student in a K-12 school setting in Auburn, ME. This contract position involves working closely with a student who experiences seizures, ensuring safety and support throughout the school day.

Responsibilities:

• Accompany the student from bus pickup through the school day, approximately 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, three days per week.
• Monitor the student's condition, particularly regarding her seizure plan, and provide immediate care if necessary.
• Assist the student with mobility, supervising her as she walks using a helmet and drop harness.
• Collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, with experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing preferred.
• Ability to follow and implement detailed health plans, especially seizure management protocols.
• Strong observational skills and ability to respond quickly to medical needs.
• Comfort working onsite within a school environment.
