On-Demand:
Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T1097) role s is an On-Demand position with a flexible schedule; you can work as much or as little as you like depending on shift availability and store needs. If offered a position, you will attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule before using the myTime mobile scheduling app to pick shifts.

As an On-Demand Team Member (TM), you are not included on the posted weekly schedule. You create your schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime app. Reliability and prompt attendance are necessary when you pick up shifts. Active engagement is expected by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours).
If you do not respond to contact attempts or fail to work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. Your ability to work when the business needs it is critical in this role.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment, and store cleanliness. Advocates of in-store and digital services who are knowledgeable about capabilities that drive adoption and loyalty, and who enable fast, easy shopping for guests across checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up, while maintaining quality.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks and when assistance is needed.
- Engage with guests to understand and solve their specific needs.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve issues and improve the guest experience.
- Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target.
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices.
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment as needed; be familiar with all fulfillment services and how to enroll, activate, and use them.
- Teach guests how to use Wallet and other Target App features and offerings.
- Process returns following register prompts and escalate to leadership as needed to resolve guest issues while following Target policies.
- De-escalate situations with leaders as needed to restore the guest shopping experience.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area; manage abandoned items, baskets, and hangers.
- Stock supplies during store hours and be available for guests.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely at all times and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pickup, drive-up orders, and returns, maintaining compliance with applicable laws and policies.
- Support cash office processes as needed, including management of cash systems.
- All other duties based on business needs.
