$27.00 hourly
Ray Stone Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician to serve two communities – Auburn Townhomes and Foothill Terrace. This part‑time position averages 24 hours per week. Actual days and hours may vary based on property needs. Candidates should be available to start work at 8:00 a.m. and work up to 5 p.m. as needed.
Typical Schedule
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Monday and Friday – 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
Tuesday and Thursday – 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs various duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community. Handles repairs and improvements of vacant apartments for a market ready status. Works as a team participant along with the Maintenance & Office staff to ensure the community meets quality maintenance standards.
Job Duties
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of all vacant apartments to a market ready condition, within the shortest time possible and in cooperation with the administrative staff.
- Perform light electrical repairs, plumbing work and carpentry work.
- Keep accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, work orders, annual inspections and inventories.
- Attend to service requests include plumbing, electrical, door locks, windows, bathroom fixtures, appliances, inspections.
- Remove garbage from hallways or dumpsters, get keys to new tenants, assist Manager in long‑term repairs or improvements.
- Participate in emergency stand‑by schedule for evening, weekend and holiday coverage.
- Consistently maintain a professional, courteous attitude when dealing with residents, co‑workers and the general public.
- Attend and participate in training seminars as requested.
- Attend monthly safety meetings.
- Notify Manager of any incidents that may result in an insurance claim on the site.
- Ensure building security systems work properly, including surveillance cameras, locking gates, automatic doors.
- Confirm staff are trained for emergency plan.
- Supervise regular, periodic testing/inspections of all fire alarms, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers and hydrants.
- Deliver various communications to residents as needed.

Requirements
- At least 1 year of residential maintenance experience
- Valid CA Driver License
Physical demands: walk, stand, lift up to 50 lbs, manipulate up to 100 lbs, climb ladders.
