Land Development Technician
Job OverviewThe Land Development Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the engineering team by producing essential land-development deliverables such as plans, diagrams, and technical data. This position involves creating technical drawings and assisting with various design tasks for projects that include residential subdivisions and commercial developments. The technician will apply their expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documents.
Effective communication and collaboration with engineers and planners are essential to navigate the complexities of land development. $30.00 - $39.00 / Hourly DOE
Responsibilities- Prepare technical plans and drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Create 2D and 3D site plans including grading, lot layouts, utilities, and road designs
- Convert field survey data into usable design drawings
- Review and update plans to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Organize project files, maintain CAD standards, and manage documentation
- Work with engineers, planners, and consultants to support design updates
- Assist with permitting submittals and agency review documents
- 3+ years of experience in land development, civil drafting, or a related role
- High school diploma
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Word, and Outlook
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred
