Job Summary

The Cocktail Server will assist in keeping the bar and lounge area stocked clean, organized, and to serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of the bar, following standard recipes.

Supervisory Responsibilities



Duties & Responsibilities:

• Follow all sequence of service guidelines according to the manual and job description.
• Make sure that the front bar is stocked with glassware, ice, and other items.
• Greet the guest within 15 seconds according to standards with a cocktail napkin to flag table.
• Prepare snack trays.
• Set the table with appropriate flatware and condiments.
• Present daily drink specials and appetizer menu, takes beverage order, and enters order in micros.
• Record guest preferences and deliver drinks within 3 minutes, offering to pour bottle beers for guests.
• Take food orders if requested and ring into micros, and have the check available for guests at all times.
• Picks up food in the Kitchen within ten minutes, serves food, and occasionally refreshes drinks.
• Clear tables when all guests are finished.
• Maintains bar cleanliness and completes daily cleaning duties.
• Strive to be cooperative with coworkers as much as possible. Calmly resolve conflicts with other employees or see a manager if needed.
• At the end of each shift, ensure all tables and chairs are clean for the next meal period.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Superb customer service skills with the ability to calmy, quickly, and effectively resolve issues.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of server experience in a full-service dinner house or lounge is required.
• 2 years of server experience in a full-service dinner house/ working knowledge of a full service restaurant is preferred.
• To have or be able to obtain a Current Food service Handler card and Current Safe-Serve alcohol card.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
