Salary:
Attractive Package and Extensive Benefits

Our client is a leading national construction organization seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to lead sourcing, commercial strategy, and supply chain execution for complex commercial and industrial construction projects.

This is a high-impact role responsible for driving value across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems—from design alignment through equipment delivery and installation. The position blends technical MEP expertise with advanced procurement leadership and commercial negotiation capability.

If you are equally comfortable reviewing technical drawings and negotiating multimillion-dollar equipment packages, this opportunity offers significant influence and visibility.

What You’ll Lead Strategic MEP Procurement Execution
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and engineering milestones
  • Lead RFP processes, bid levelling, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations
  • Manage long-lead equipment and critical-path materials
Technical & Project Integration
  • Partner with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment with specifications and construction sequencing
  • Evaluate drawings and site conditions to identify value-engineering opportunities
  • Anticipate and mitigate supply chain or installation risks
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, delivery schedules, and performance guarantees
  • Collaborate with legal teams on contract review and risk allocation
  • Manage exposure related to commodities, logistics, and supplier performance
Supplier Performance & Financial Stewardship
  • Build and maintain high-performing supplier partnerships
  • Monitor KPIs, quality metrics, and on-time delivery performance
  • Conduct cost modeling, total cost of ownership analysis, and savings forecasting
What We’re Looking For
  • 5-10+ years of experience in MEP procurement, supply chain leadership, or MEP project management within commercial or industrial construction
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction documentation, and industry standards
  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale equipment packages and long-lead items
  • Advanced negotiation and contract management expertise
  • Strong analytical, financial, and communication skills
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement reporting tools

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.

Why This Role Stands Out
  • High visibility across major projects
  • Strategic influence on cost, schedule, and risk outcomes
  • Opportunity to shape evolving procurement models
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience
