Do you enjoy being involved in your community and making a meaningful impact? Do you have a passion for graphic design and visual storytelling? We are seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Design Intern to join our marketing team and help promote our architectural and engineering projects to clients and partners. In this role, you will help create compelling visual content that highlights our expertise, values, and vision.

GMC is seeking a Graphic Design Intern, going into their senior year of college
, to support ongoing marketing initiatives in our Auburn, AL or Montgomery, AL office
. This position offers hands‑on experience working on real projects in a collaborative environment and may lead to a full‑time opportunity.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with marketing, corporate teams, and department leaders to understand project goals and develop supporting visual materials.
  • Use design tools such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint to produce high-quality graphics.
  • Assist in creating a variety of marketing materials including advertisements, banners, brochures, flyers, posters, presentations, and newsletters.
  • Develop graphics and infographics to support proposals, campaigns, and communications.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Minimum Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Portfolio of school or professional work samples.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of design principles including typography, color, layout, and composition.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the marketing team.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
