Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic commercial construction team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial projects. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of commercial construction project management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation.
2. Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
3. Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
4. Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
5. Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution.
6. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
7. Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement.
8. Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
9. Ensure all work meets or exceeds the contract specifications and quality standards.
10. Manage risks and issues, devise contingency plans, and ensure health and safety regulations are met at all times.
11. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
12. Review work progress on a daily basis and ensure materials and equipment are tracked and managed properly.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial construction project management.
3. In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
4. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
5. Excellent knowledge of construction project management software like Procore or similar.
6. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
8. A team player with leadership abilities.
9. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
10. Proficient in handling the complex of technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts, and designing techniques.
11. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
12. Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
13. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
