Job Summary
Must be able to work during Spring Semester 2026 (Jan 5 – May
1). The Office of Undergraduate Admissions seeks motivated, results-oriented applicants for the position of Undergraduate Admissions Student Assistant. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in higher education administration and develop professional skills.
Essential Functions
- Provide Administrative Support:
Assist staff with preparing, compiling, and printing materials for guests and maintain lobby & hospitality areas. - Data Entry:
Accurately input and maintain guest/applicant information in the admissions database (Slate). - Customer Service:
Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits. Provide general information about admissions, program offerings, and campus life. - Communication:
Collaborate with the admissions team to answer email queries about campus tours and general admissions information. - File Management:
Organize and maintain physical and electronic files related to admissions. - Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
To be eligible to work as a student employee on-campus, individuals must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled and actively taking classes at Auburn University.

Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Customer Service Orientation:
Friendly, approachable demeanor with a commitment to excellent service. - Attention to Detail:
Meticulous accuracy in data entry and admin tasks. - Team Player:
Ability to work collaboratively with other student assistants and professional staff. - Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with database management. - Enthusiasm:
Positive attitude and enthusiasm for promoting Auburn and its programs. - Driver’s license.
