As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will design and develop complex code for mission‑critical systems. You will engage in hands‑on coding within Linux and/or RTOS environments and use CAN tools and protocols to facilitate communication across various subsystems.

• Design and develop complex code for mission‑critical systems.
• Engage in hands‑on coding within Linux and/or RTOS environments.
• Utilize CAN tools and protocols to communicate messages throughout subsystems.
• Develop embedded code, particularly for the defense industry.

• 5+ years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer.
• Proven experience in writing code, not just integrating.
• Strong in Linux or RTOS environments.
• Proficiency with CAN tools.
• Experience with embedded C and C++.
• Familiarity with J1939 and Python.

• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Knowledge of industry standards and protocols, with a preference for J1939.

Contract to hire; based out of Auburn Hills, MI.

Pay range: $55.29 – $72.12 per hour. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
